After catching Mike on the Joe Rogan podcast, delving into his spiritual awakening and the transformative encounter with the psychoactive bufo toad, I felt inspired to capture his essence on canvas. Enrolling in a workshop with Autumn Sky, I not only aimed to paint him but also harbored the intention of gifting the original piece to Mike. Three months of artistic dedication later, I found myself on a flight to LA, spontaneously appearing at the Tyson Ranch. Presenting him with the finished painting, Mike proved to be gracious, and we engaged in a meaningful conversation about psychedelics and the tapestry of life.

Curious, he inquired about the motivation behind painting him and the audacity of my unannounced visit. I responded with the notion that only those who engage in the game can emerge victorious. In turn, he shared a quote attributed to Alexander the Great, emphasizing that only those who dare to try can realize their aspirations. I explained that I chose to paint him because individuals like him, who have weathered storms, navigated dark periods, and rebounded from mistakes, serve as beacons of inspiration for countless others seeking transformative journeys of their own.
